What is Supported Independent Living?
Supported Independent Living (SIL) is an NDIS-funded support that helps people with disabilities live as independently as possible. At 8848 Disability Services, we provide 24/7 support in shared or individual living arrangements, tailored to your unique needs and goals.
Our SIL services are designed to help you develop daily living skills, maintain your home, and participate in your community while receiving the support you need to thrive.
Our SIL Services Include
- Personal care assistance (showering, dressing, grooming)
- Medication management and health support
- Meal preparation and nutrition support
- Household tasks and home maintenance
- Community access and social participation
- Skill development and capacity building
- 24/7 support in shared or individual accommodation
- Overnight and active night support as needed
Who Can Access SIL?
SIL is available to NDIS participants who have SIL funding in their plan. This is typically for individuals who require significant daily support to live independently. Our team can help you understand your funding and how to access our SIL services.
Our SIL Homes
We operate several SIL homes across NSW, providing comfortable, safe, and welcoming environments for our participants. Our homes are designed to feel like home, not a facility, with private bedrooms and shared living spaces that encourage community and connection.
